International contemporary jewellery triennial looks towards the forest. The triennial is produced by the Finnish Art Jewellery Association.

KORU8 invited artists from around the world to think about forests and humans’ relationship with nature. The exhibition features 47 artists / artist groups from over 20 countries.

For the artists, the forest is a source of imagination and creativity into which tradition, beliefs, mysticism and metaphors are intertwined. Colors and smells of a forest arise from personal memories and art mixes them with philosophical and conceptual ponderings. For a long time humans have lived seemingly detached from nature and above it. Now the purpose is to be a part of it, living together as an equal partner species.
