Marjaniemi Lighthouse

One of the most popular attractions in Hailuoto is the Marjaniemi lighthouse, built in 1871 and opened on 3rd September 1872, guiding the sailors for over 150 years now.

Marjaniemi lighthouse has been the beacon of Marjaniemi harbour for generations. Designed by Axel Hampus Dahlström, Marjaniemi lighthouse has been an inspiration for many artists’ paintings, drawings and other art forms.

The lighthouse is open from May til October. Opening times may vary. Please check the opening times from the website. Outside the regular schedule the lighthouse is open by agreement.
