Opening of the Matti's Cosmos Park

A new art park will be opened near Raahe Main Library on June 25 in honor of artist Matti Lepistö. Matti’s Cosmos Park presents a cross-section of Lepistö’s extensive body of work and the diversity of themes in his art. The park has been designed especially to delight children, as there is also a playground located nearby.

The park opening will be celebrated in connection with the Pekanpäivät Festival on Thursday, June 25, from 5 to 6 pm at Rantakatu 42. At the opening ceremony, speeches will be given by representatives of the City of Raahe, Seppo Lepistö, and inventory specialist Hilla Nättilä. Music will be provided by Sampo Harju. Admission to the opening is free of charge.
