Kia Kramsu: The Silence of Light – Photography Exhibition

Kia Kramsu is a visual artist and student at the Lapland University of Applied Sciences, working across painting, sculpture, digital image processing, and photography.

The Silence of Light is a photography exhibition exploring the experiential relationship between nature, light, and space within Finnish landscapes. The series of approximately 30 works unfolds through a subtle dialogue of light and shadow, moving from the soft moments of morning into the calm of autumn and winter in the surroundings of Raahe and Lapland.

The collection reflects the idea that the silence of nature is not emptiness, but something deeply meaningful and profoundly present. Dreamlike and meditative, the works invite viewers into spaces where humans appear as part of the landscape, and where nature’s quiet presence becomes both tangible and significant.

The exhibition is designed for a wide audience and is easily approachable regardless of age or background. The project is realized as part of Kramsu’s studies.

The exhibition opening will be held at Praati on June 2, 2026, from 3 PM to 6 PM. Light refreshments will be served. Warmly welcome to experience, reflect, and connect!

The exhibition is part of the official Oulu2026 European Capital of Culture programme.
