Harvesting Gratitude
Step into the stillness of the forest of Northern Finland and discover the quiet abundance that grows beneath your feet and above your head.
This mindful journey through the boreal woods invites you to slow down, tune in, and gather both nature’s gifts and your own inner calm.
Guided by seasonal rhythms, you’ll learn how to identify and harvest wild forest treasures—berries, mushrooms, herbs, or spruce sprouts—depending on what nature offers during your visit. Along the way, you’ll hear the Finnish harvesting family traditions and we’ll pause for grounding moments of gratitude for the forest’s generosity.
In the spirit of slow ancestral wisdom, you’ll then learn how to prepare your harvest using traditional techniques. Whether it’s simmering spruce sprout into tea and cookies (kuusenkerkkä) or preparing a berries jam, you’ll create something by hand and will carry a little bit of the forest’s soul with you.
Come with open hands and leave with a full heart.
