Making your way to Oulu and the Pohjola Route is easy by plane, train, car, or bus. Oulu Airport is the second busiest airport in Finland<\/strong>, with many Finnair<\/strong><\/a> flights from Helsinki arriving daily.
Starting in March 2026, AirBaltic<\/a><\/strong> will begin direct scheduled flights between Riga and Oulu<\/strong>, with services operating five days a week from 29 March until the end of October 2026.
In addition to air travel, Oulu is well connected by rail. Trains<\/a><\/strong> from both the south and the north arrive in the area, with several daily connections to Oulu, Kempele, Kemi, and the Rokua Geopark area. For travelers coming from closer regions, buses provide an ideal option, with routes reaching Oulu from nearly everywhere in Finland in a short time.
